OVERVIEW OF THE CH LEASING MARKET IN Q1 2023

Our colleagues in the Finance Team have closely monitored developments in the Swiss leasing market in the first quarter of 2023 and can say the following.


New registrations in Switzerland for 2023

According to the Federal Statistical Office, new vehicle registrations in Switzerland increased by 3% each in January and February 2023 compared to the previous year. This demonstrates the stable demand of Swiss consumers, even in the current inflationary environment.


In February 2023:

  • registrations of electric vehicles increased by 6% compared to the same month last year;

  • Registrations of conventional hybrid vehicles increased by 22% compared to the previous year; and

  • Registrations of vehicles with combustion engines increased by 4% compared to the previous year.
